jameson 15 years
Jameson 15 years old millennium edition a triple-distilled pot still whiskey with no grain added. Moreover, this was created as a special edition for the millennium.
The Jameson brand is named for its founder, John Jameson. A Scot who was married into the famous Haig distilling dynasty. Furthermore, jameson was one of the original Dublin whiskies. And, is synonymous with its spiritual ex–home, the Bow Street distillery in Ireland’s capital. More so, the Irish Wars of Independence, subsequent trade war with Britain, and US Prohibition, all hit the whiskey industry there hard in the mid-20th century. The solution was the creation of the Irish Distillers group, a merger between Jameson, Powers and Cork Distillers in 1966. Now a Pernod Ricard subsidiary, Irish Distillers continue to produce Jameson at the New Midleton distillery in Cork, built in 1975. Today it is best-selling Irish whiskey in the world.
Jameson 15 years old millennium edition
One of the favourite Jameson whiskeys ever made. This is classic pot still whiskey at its best. Packed full of rich, oily, spicy flavours and still a relative bargain compared to other releases from the Midleton Distillery. Unfortunately discontinued some time ago and now very sought-after by Jameson collectors and drinkers alike. This is the ‘Special Reserve’ version of this fantastic bottling. And, comes with the outer cardboard carton which has rarely survived.
